I’ve been seeing more street photographers lately who often don’t use post production but there’s room in this world for both purists and digital artists. This photo of the week is more painting than photo (like Wozza’s green Thames, 6 weeks ago) and is by Lemanshots – the very talented Josephine, based in Germany. I love the moods she evokes in her digital art. That’s what she calls it, on her blog – https://lemanshots.wordpress.com/. She’s one click away but here are a couple more to tempt you:

“Look to camera…”

I love this monster portrait by Theo Moye. This beetle would make a great fantasy portrait – I want to sit a warrior child on it’s back, riding to victory through this alien landscape. I’m sure that’s not what he had in mind when he beautifully captured this world we never see. Two more great shots below. You can see more from him at http://www.theomoye.co.uk/

Blast from the past

I was having a clear out the other day when I found these. There were 2 calendars – one paintings, one drawings – each with 12 birds. There wasn’t a date on them but I think I was about 15 and I made them for my grandparents. I’ve still got the book somewhere I copied them from. I’m quite pleased with myself, especially with the paintings!
